Xenotransplant cancer models:

Traditional preclinical pipeline for anti-tumor drug discovery is laborious, time-consuming and costly. Zebrafish xenograft tumor model offers a rapid, efficient approach for assessing drug effects on human cancer cells. The experiment could be finished in 7 days and only ~10 mg sample is needed. And, it is easty to investigate tumor development, angiogenesis, invasion and metastasis on this subtle model.

Hunter has developed more 50 human tumor xenograft models, incluing normal, multi-drug resistant and mutant human cancer cell lines. And some patient-derived xenograft models have been under development.
